Snorkelling and kayaking in the Natural Park

Immerse yourself in Menorca’s protected natural beauty!

Discover the underwater world of one of Menorca’s most valuable natural areas on an excursion combining kayaking, snorkelling and nature.

We will kayak through the s’Albufera des Grau Natural Park to the area around sa Torreta and Illa d’en Colom. Beneath these waters lie some of Menorca’s largest seagrass meadows, an ecosystem that is essential to the health of the Mediterranean and provides a refuge for a wide variety of marine species.

Before entering the water, our guides will explain what you may encounter during the snorkelling session. With the help of educational identification cards, you will learn to recognise some of the species that inhabit these waters and understand the importance of Posidonia seagrass in maintaining the balance of the marine ecosystem.

Then, equipped with a mask and snorkel, we will explore the seabed and observe its marine flora and fauna up close.

An activity designed to enjoy the scenery, discover Menorca’s natural wealth and understand the importance of protecting its marine habitats.

Please arrive at the meeting point 25–30 minutes before the activity begins.
You must be able to swim.
Minimum age: 10 years old, accompanied by an adult.
Minimum number of participants: 2 people.
The price includes: kayak, life jacket, paddle, dry bag, mask and snorkel, fins, sleeveless wetsuit, instructor/guide and insurance.

WHAT TO BRING

Swimwear or shorts that can get wet.
A synthetic or Lycra top for kayaking.
Water shoes, wetsuit boots or footwear that can get wet.
A hat or cap and sunglasses. A retaining strap for your sunglasses.
Sunscreen, water and some snacks.
A towel and a change of clothes.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

No previous kayaking experience is required.
A T-shirt must be worn under the life jacket.
We use open, two-person sit-on-top kayaks.
Single kayaks are only used for groups with an odd number of participants or when specifically requested by the customer at the time of booking, subject to the guide’s approval. Maximum weight: 120 kg; maximum height: 2 m. Please contact the centre if you exceed either of these limits.
